Physical description

Small sample pattern book entitled 'The Lorne Cashmere' registered for 1871 to 1873. Cover of black leatherette. There are 15 samples of fine wool mounted on cartridge paper, organised as a fold-out. Each sample is on textured cream white weave carrying offset stars or lozenges or stripes, as scrolls, cross forms or broken dogs leg, in various colour combinations. The colours include Perkins Mauve, scarlet red and black.
