This neck ring was described as from North Africa when it was acquired by the museum in 1904. Plain torques made from a band of silver like this are not common in North Africa, and nor is the spiral decoration. It is possible that it was made elsewhere.

| Physical description | Torque necklace made from a band of sheet silver. Each end has been converted to a strip of thick wire which is bent round to form a hook at one end, and a corresponding loop at the other, before finishing as a decorative applied spiral on each end of the band. |
