Double page landscape format engraving in black and white of a view of the remains of the tomb of the family of Augustus. The engraving looks up at the tomb, from street level, and highlights one side of it in particular. Steps are depicted on the right hand side of the engraving, which go from the street level, to a door several storeys up. The letter A highlights and explains this staircase, using a key at the bottom. Men dressed in eighteenth century fashion look up at the tomb.
