Double page landscape format engraving in black and white of a sarcophagus in the tomb of St Helena, mother of Constantine, on the Via Lavicana. The engraving shows the tomb from ground level, with the remains of the mausoleum in the background. The detail on the tomb is engraved very intricately, and depicts soldiers riding horses, stamping over prisoners. The lid of the sarcophagus is decorated with cherubs, wreaths and lions. The letter A provides a key, which is explained in Italian at the bottom of the engraving.
