The bridge is made up of three arches, two wide and a narrow one in the middle, each with inscriptions above. Buildings line the riverbanks, and there are several small fishing boats in the river. Features of the engraving are lettered, with a key in Italian below.

Object history
The bridge is sometimes called the Bridge of Four Heads (Quattro Cappi) because it is adorned with two four-headed herms. These are not visible in the engraving.
