Drawing in charcoal on paper. This design is a preparatory, full-length figure study. It shows a man who stands in contrapposto stance, his head turned to the right. In his hands, which are covered by the apron he wears, he carries a bulbous jug with a handle. Paper of irregular shape. Scoring, tearing, creasing, and small hole near lower edge. Foxing, some staining, and fingerprints. Surface striations from loss of charcoal. Conservation mounting underneath paper.
