The textile is a place piece of undyed, glazed linen with a large red inscription woven across.

Material: a textile (ex Elsberg Collection), the inscription of which specifies the name al-Muti and bi-tiraz al-'amma bi-Dumyat.

Technical ananlysis: Woven tiraz in plain and tapestry weave linen and silk. Warp: linen, S-twist, 32-3 per cm. Weft: linen, S-twist, 19-20 per cm. Slit tapestry over paired linen warps. Weft: no noticeable twist, about 60 ribs per cm with oval or round shaped areas in white undyed linen (?) thread.
