Constructed out of two half-moon shapes, this 'dopalri' has been embellished with peacock feathers, silver bouquets of flowers and even an imitation turban ornament to lend additional grandeur. This type of cap was worn by the unnamed Delhi prince who introduced the fashion into Lucknow in the 1820's. It was worn with the pointed ends at back and front, with the turban ornament on the side of the head.
