Abram Games (1914-1996) was one of Britain's most important poster designers. Here his powerful graphic device is emphasised by his use of colour. It enacts the message that careless talk can have potentially serious consequences. Games's depiction of the death of three comrades is unusually frank. It was an emotive and effective way of driving the message home to the troops.
