Object history | The stained glass from which this copy was made was originally in Hurstmonceux Castle, East Sussex. Construction of the castle was begun by Sir Roger Fiennes, Treasurer of the Household of King Henry VI, in 1441. It was dismantled in the 18th century and this stained glass panel was transferred to a window of the old porch under the Great Tower of Belhus, Aveley, Essex. |
