Object history
These 8 sketches were taken from a volume in which was pasted a cutting from a sales catalogue: '607. Sketches in pencil and chalk by the late Thomas Woodward - 70 pages half-bound boards.' An inscription in ink stated: 'This collection of drawings of the late Thomas Woodward was purchased at the sale of the effects of the late John Parker Esq who bought them direct from the artist.'
