This poster advertises the album True Blue, a USA recording issued initially by Sire Records and distributed by Warner Chappell in July 1986. Image is of paramount importance to the singer and actress Madonna (born 1958), who has successfully 'reinvented' herself several times during her career. She oversees all aspects of her publicity and has developed a successful working relationship with the celebrated photographer Herb Ritts.
