Frida Lingstrom had a very successful career in television after initially working as a freelance graphic designer from 1922. Her first clients were various railway companies including the London & North Eastern Railway, the Underground Group and the Norwegian state railway. In 1950, along with her partner, Maria Bird, she created Andy Pandy. This was followed up rapidly by The Flowerpot Men and other hit shows which led to her appointment as director of BBC Children's Television in 1951, a post she held until 1956. After the BBC she continued to write books for children and lived in Westerham, Kent until the age of 95.

Physical description
Colour lithograph poster advertising literature and information about holidaying on The Broads. It features a central stylised image of three small sailing boats on green and white undulating bands of water. There is a wide, bright red surrounding border to the image on which the promotional text is lettered.
