Object history | This costume design by Lez Brotherston is part of an extensive collection of designs donated to the Theatre Museum by the artist in 2002. The design was executed for a production of Massimo Moricone's ballet "A Christmas Carol" performed by Northern Ballet Theatre, at the Grand Theatre, Leeds on September 26th 1992. The production was directed by Christopher Gable, the music was composed by Carl Davis, and the lighting was designed by Paul Pyant. This immensely popular production was recorded for television by the BBC and released on video (a copy of which is available in the Theatre Museum's library - catalogue number VIDEO 9704024). The production also toured to China in 2000. |
