Pencil drawing with pen and ink and a broken line of watercolour, on paper backed with linen. Concerning the ornamentation of the proposed art library, this sheet shows sections and elevations of decorative mouldings and ironwork for the first and gallery levels (see also E.1027-1030-1927). Chiefly, it shows a round-headed arcade for the first floor, with foliate decoration to the capitals, frieze and upper shafts; a balcony balustrade, with twisted shafts to the balusters, alternated with panels of intricate floral and foliate motifs; and, belonging to the ceiling of the gallery level, relief mouldings above and belonging to the surface of the cove. Some annotations. Signed and dated with scale bar.
