This is a poster advertising Poppy Records. The American illustrator Milton Glaser (born 1929) was a founding member of the New York-based Push Pin Studios in 1954. His work was characterised by freedom from convention and a willingness to experiment. His individual drawing style made use of delicate line and watercolour washes to create surreal spaces.
