Object history | This drawing is a detail of the painting of the Naming of the Child John (see E.502-1930). This painting is on the vaulting of the apse in the lower of the two zones surrounding the central Majesty on the north side of St. Gabriel's Chapel in the crypt of Canterbury Cathedral, and dates from the early 12th century. |
