Brief description
Clear glass painted in black with the arms of Sir Miles Stapleton, founder garter knight. A shield of clear and coloured glass blazoned: argent a lion rampant sable. The whole surrounded by a leaf pattern picked out from black pigment over blue glass. English, mid 14th century.
