This poster advertises a poster exhibition at the Neiman Marcus Exhibition Hall in North Park, Dallas, USA, in 1967. It uses the ‘second look’ principal in poster design, in which an arresting image does not at first glance reveal its function. The psychedelic colours absorb the words rather than bringing them to the foreground. An extremely stylised abstract design of circle and line suggests cosmic forms. The billowing leaf-like shapes in the foreground give a disquieting sense of organic life.
