Purse of 4 sheild-shaped linen panels, lined with carnation silk taffeta. Two panels are embroidered with coloured silks and couched with silver and silver-gilt filé in pictorial designs. Both sides depict allegorical female figures in classical dress, one seated at a table with a globe and dividers, the other holding a parrot. The purse is edged with narrow silver-gilt woven lace (braid) and has a metal snap-hance closure.
