Girl's low cut party shoes of pale pink satin lined with mauve and pale puce silks. The shoes are seamed at the waist, and have leather soles, squared toes and covered Louis heels (the bases of which are nailed); the vamp of each shoe is decorated with a pleated rosette of self fabric beneath a pompon of black silk thread.

The toes of the shoes had been stuffed with pages from the Spanish newspaper 'El Figaro' dating from 1918, but this is likely to have been when they ceased to be worn
