Stained glass model of window, in two sections, for Baptistery, Coventry Cathedral. Designed by John Piper, made by Patrick Reyntiens. English, 1962.

This model was made as part of the Coventry Cathedral Baptistery project, after the initial drawings and before the cartoons.
Given by John Piper when he was living at Fawley Bottom Farmhouse near Henley on Thames.
RP 76/1515 has been absorbed into MA/1/P1383.
Could possibly date to 1958-9.

Letter in RP (17 June 1976) From Piper to Archer:..kind of V&A...to arrange for Philadelphia to borrow the Coventry model...I lent my only list of stained glass to someone...But Martin Harrison (Ely Stained Glass Museum) has a copy....
Letter in RP (19 July 1975) From Piper to Roy Strong: ...I would dearly like to be represented in the Museum by some work with craftsmen - stained glass with Reyntiens, for instance....
