Althea Willoughby (1904-1982) produced posters for the London Underground between 1933 and 1936. Her mother, Vera Willoughby (1870-1939), was an artist and illustrator who also created posters for the Underground Electric Railways of London (UERL) between 1928 and 1935, and her father was the silent film actor, Louis Willoughby. Althea's married name was Wolton. Other works beside poster design included patterned papers (see E.1680-1929) and woodcut book illustration.
