Object history | This print is a reduced copy of the original etching by J. Taylor, after his own design, issued shortly after the death of David Garrick in 1779. Although this is a later copy Garrick's funerary hatchment is still illustrated hanging above the entrance to the house. The copyist has however altered the costumes of the figures to those of about six years later. |
