Cup and saucer painted in enamel colours and decorated with gilding. On both pieces are the arms of the Royal families of Holland and England. The two shields are surmounted by a crown and between them is a branch of an orange tree. The shield with the arms of Orange is surrounded by the Garter. The set commemorates the marriage of William IV, Prince of Orange, and Anne, daughter of George II, in 1734.

Physical description
Cup and saucer painted in enamel colours and decorated with gilding. On both pieces are the arms of the Royal families of Holland and England. The two shields are surmounted by a crown and between them is a branch of an orange tree. The shield with the arms of Orange is surrounded by the Garter. Transferred from the Museum of Practical Geology (Jermyn Street, London), accessioned in 1901. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project.
