Painting, opaque watercolour and gold on paper, the Sultan Abdullah Qutb Shah stands facing right, in profile, with his right hand on the hilt of a sword. In his left hand he holds a dagger. He is wearing a green gown with an ochre cloak. His head is encircled with a halo. Background blue. The picture is mounted on card, with a tan inner border with gold floral meander and dark ultramarine and buff outer borders, inscribed above (in Persian).
