Brief description
Set of lacquered food dishes in a lacquer and basketwork box, 1700-40, Qing dynasty, Chinese.
Physical description
The square box has a plain black lacquer base and a red basketwork lid woven from two different thicknesses of bamboo spills. Nine separate dishes fit neatly inside and rest on a removable tray.
