Complex ornamental design with central repeating oval cartouches with portraits of Queen Victoria. Border designs of St. George's and St. Andrew's crosses with other shields and devices. Corner borders of various ferns and other vegetation with Britannia, flags and shields depicting and symbolising the British colonies. These include pagodas, elephants, tigers, ostriches and stags with representations of Indian, Canadian and Australian landscapes and vegetation.
