This medal by Pierre Alexandre Morlon was struck by the Paris Mint to celebrate the success of Allied tanks on the Western Front. Morlon combines the traditional use of an allegorical figure with a realistic depiction of a tank in action.

Physical description

Bronze medal by Pierre Alexandre Morlon. Obverse: Chars d'Assaut (Tank). Reverse: Plain circular space for engraving a name, surrounded by a wreath of laurel and flowers.
