Krishna is shown in his adolescence fighting the snake Kaliya with his right foot on Kaliya's head, which he has subdued, and holding the tail with his left hand. He is holding a ball of butter in his right hand. The hair is in a common topknot for southern Krishna images. The moulded lotus base has a flat square section below that could have fitted into a larger base.
