Soup Tureen

ca. 1796 (made), ca. 1796 (decorated), ca. 1796 (designed)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The painting has traditionally been attributed to 'Quaker' Pegg, although the flowers appear also in a drawing -- probably a record drawing rather than a design -- by William Billingsley. The flowers are taken from John Edwards's A Collection of Flowers Drawn after Nature ..., published in 1795.
