This uchiwa-e (rigid fan print) design by the early 19th-century artist Utagawa Sadatora takes as its subject the painterly theme of the seven autumn flowers - morning glory, Chinese bellflower, bush clover, eulalia, creeper, 'ominaeshi', and boneset - which are shown blooming in the brightness of the full moon.

For this print Sadatora adopted an autumnal subject from traditional Japanese painting. A full moon is depicted above the seven autumnal flowers: morning glory, Chinese bellflower, bush clover, eulalia, creeper, ominaeshi, and boneset.
