Object history
Alson S. Clark was an American Impressionist painter, well known for his work with landscapes. Clark was also a photographer during World War One for the US Army, and later became director of the Stickney Memorial School of Art in Pasadena, California.

Rue St. Jacques is a road located in the 5th arrondissement in Paris, and home to notable buildings and educational institutions such as the Sorbonne and the Lycée Louis-le-Grand.
