The design was executed by Lez Brotherston for a projected production of the ballet "Aladdin" by Scottish Ballet ca. 1999. The ballet was eventually produced by Scottish Ballet with choreography by Robert Cohan at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, 20 December 2000. The costume designer for this production was Colin Falconer by Brotherston shared the credit for the set design.

Physical description
Costume design possibly for a Court Official. The design depicts a full length male figure wearing an Chinese Imperial style costume. The costume consists of a dark blue robe with "hoof" cuffs and gold patterns on the breast and upper arms, fastened at the waist with a gold and blue belt, and a wide decorative collar. The figure also wears a high brimmed black Chinese hat with a red plume. Unsigned by the artist.
