Physical description | Costume design for a Court Official. The design depicts a full length male figure wearing an Chinese Imperial style costume. The costume consists of a dark blue robe tied at the waist with a black belt, with a decorative square panel at the breast and a wide decorative collar worn over a robe with "hoof" cuffs. The figure also wears a high brimmed black Chinese hat with a red plume, and a long jade necklace. Unsigned by the artist. |

The ballet was eventually produced by Scottish Ballet with choreography by Robert Cohan at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, December 20th 2000. The designer for this production was Colin Falconer. |
