The fine cotton and highly skilled tie-dyeing are typical of 19th-century workmanship in Kota, Rajasthan. This piece reputedly came from the royal toshkhana (cloth store) at Kota.

Hanging made of tie-dyed cotton. The piece was folded into three panels for tying. With hunting scenes in white, yellow and green on a red ground.
