Place of origin |
Drawing of the back view of a woman in a fur coat. The closely fitted bodice and sleeves are made from rows of horizontal fur stitched together, with a different, darker fur around the neck and wrists, with a matching muff of the darker fur. The skirt of the coat is made of two squares made up of vertical rows of fur and edged around with the darker fur, and applied to the bottom of the body of the coat, two corners overlapping at the wearer's lower back and parting in the back to expose the skirt of the dress beneath, creating a handkerchief-effect hemline. The model wears a soft, brimmed hat trimmed with a single feather falling over the brim down the side of the wearer's face.
