Physical description
Design for a woman's afternoon dress. Overdress of pale blue silk taffeta dress with short sleeves and a full skirt with a handkerchief hemline with underdress of white lace exposed at the hem, long tight sleeves and a high neck ruff tied with a length of black ribbon. A large black rose trims the waist of the overdress. The model wears a large black hat trimmed with blue silk taffeta and carries an open parasol covered in matching pale blue fabric.
