Design for summer afternoon dress. Simply styled, below-knee length dress with elbow length sleeves (slashed open to the shoulder, but fastened with linked buttons at elbow (these fastenings left undone) and upper arm (fastened), sashed in at the waist. with a floral detail and floating panel of transparent lace at the side hip, and another panel of transparent lace on the opposite side of the bodice. The model carries a large parasol and wears a draped lace and silk cloché hat trimmed with a rose.
