Design for a summer afternoon dress. Pale lilac silk, draped and wrapped skirt, the draped bodice suspended from a gold-embroidered band of fabric about the shoulders. Gold sash threaded through slits in the bodice at the hips. The overskirt of the dress in fine, transparent lace. Wide-brimmed cloché hat, the brim lined in lilac, trimmed with a bunch of purple rosebuds and a trailing scarf of lace that falls from the brim and drapes around the shoulders. Parasol covered with scalloped rows of fabric.
