This print is plate 40 from a set of 100 published under the title 'Oeuvres de Phpe Wouvermens Hollandois Gravées d'aprés ses Meilleurs Tableaux…' Between 1737 and 1759 Jean Moyreau (1690–1762) published 89 engravings after paintings by the painter Philips Wouwerman.

This set of plates, including another impression of E.725-1963, is in the Department of Prints and Drawings, nos.20625.1-101.
