Impressions of the trial proofs of this etching (M.H.135, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th states) are in the Department of Prints and Drawings, E.3493-3496-1913. The catalogue raisonné records that the date '1913', inscribed by the artist on the published state, is "in error for 1912".
