Hand loom woven cotton bedding (khes) made in one of the small scale cottage industries of Central and North Sindh. 'Khes' are labour intensive and expensive to produce, they are generally woven in sets of four pairs end to end, cut and then stitched together to produce the required width for bed covers. This piece was acquired from the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1867.
