Object history
A painting in similar style and of a similar subject from the same source was sold at Sotheby's sale of 15th June 1959 and is now in the S. C. Welch collection, Cambridge, Mass. The ruler depicted in this second painting is identified as Maharajah Sri Prabh SIngh ji.
