Physical description

Illustration from a series depicting famous dancers in their celebrated roles. There are five sheets in total, each containing six illustrations, which are joined together to form a continuous strip; the sheets are folded into blue paper boards embossed with gold.

Object history note

Two of the lithographs from which these derive are E.2889 and E.2894-1967. Others are reproduced in The Romantic Ballet in Lithographs of the Time, London, 1938, by C. W. Beaumont and Sacheverell Sitwell.
