Object history
An almost identical portrait of Wyndham Lewis was No.23 in the exhibition of drawings and caricatures by Edmond Kapp, held at the Little Art Rooms, Adelphi, London, 1 to 22 May 1919, and was reproduced (though not exhibited) in the catalogue of the retrospective exhibition of the artist's paintings and drawings, held at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London, April to May 1961. It is reproduced as Pl.8 to the artist's Personalities, London, 1919.
