Edward Gordon Craig
Masterful in his economic use of line, Craig suggests his arms and feet through a mere few cuts in the wood block. He shows himself, in his trademark hat, pointing the way forward with his staff. Through operating as a visual artist, Craig could claim status for himself in his other role as theatre revolutionary, an 'Artist of the Theatre of the Future'.
