Wood Panel
1900 (made)
Artist/Maker |
A group of seven wooden panels covered with painted cloth. The paintings have been glued on to shaped wooden panels. Each panel represents a pillar with a cusped arch capital, the pillar section decorated with a dancing female figure. The precise function of these panels is unclear but it is most probable that they formed part of the decoration on a processional shrine or cart.
