Historical significance: Especially designed for Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Montagu for their flat in Embassy Court, Brighton. They also had woven curtains designed by Dorn. These had a geometric, linear pattern and may have been made by Warner & Sons Ltd., 1935 ca.

A rug of this design but different colours was sold by S. Franses Limited, London in Autumn 2001 for £95,000. It measured 363 x 233 cm.
