This rayon and linen furnishing fabric is decorated with an Art Deco pattern of rhythmic tree branches. It was designed for the Old Bleach Linen Co. in about 1935.
The firm, a linen manufacturer in Northern Ireland, commissioned textile designs from leading artists such as Marion Dorn, Ashley Havinden and Paul Mansouroff. It in turn received commissions from ships and hotels. Old Bleach Linen was also one of the first companies to screen print designs onto textiles.
